It is our pleasure to introduce Mr Martin Wallis as our 2026 President. A respected figure locally and within the farming community, we are delighted that he has accepted this role for the year ahead.

Commenting on his appointment, Martin said:

“I have been given the honour of being the president of Helston Fatstock Show for 2026.

The committe has done a wonderful job promoting the show in recent years, and I welcome the role they have given me!

I am a local mixed farmer from the outskirts of Helston, We produce milk, beef and crisping potatoes on the farm. All the cereals and maize that we grow are fed back into the dairy enterprise.

I am the third generation on the family farm and look forward to taking it into the future.

I have a few roles outside of the farm gate at present: Flora Day Deputy Chairman of the Stewards and NFU Far West Chairman.

I am looking forward to joining the committee in their meetings and duties throughout the year to make the 2026 Fatstock Show as successful as it has been in the past.

I have nominated The League of Friends of Helston Community Hospital as my chosen charity. The hospital is situated at the end of the road to out off-farm land and we pass it every day. My family have all needed their services in the past. As a resident of Helston, I feel we are all lucky to have these facilities on our doorstep.
